Our team is helmed by Sidhartha Rao (Sid) who has partnered with TV Personality and NYC Restauranteur Kunal Lamba to form a start up called Desi Gastronomy.
At Desi Gastronomy we develop restaurants and Kabab Culture is our very first concept. We plan to open other varied and interesting concepts in near future.
Kunal Lamba (The Think-er)
Kunal has had a vast experince of over 15 years in three continents in the food business. From ITC Maurya Hotel in Delhi, to The Mark Restaurant by Jean Georges in New York City and an intermediary stint in London, he has been a part of the expansive world food scene at large. He has been the Culinary Director and General Manager of Devi, the first Michelin star Indian restaurant in the US.
Kunal is also a TV personality as the host for 4 seasons of a Reality TV Food Show called Kawan Kitchenmate telecast on Star Plus channel. In this show Kunal travels across America to diverse Indian homes and makes food from the family’s leftovers in their fridge. Kunal has also been featured on Food Network’s show Beat Bobby Flay. He has also been a Public speaker as he has been the Emcee of prestigious events and also sings on stage.
Sanjay Casley (The do-er)
Sanjay brings with him 20 years of experience in his diverse food career. He honed his craft in fine establishments in India in his early days. He has been at the helm of the local NJ Indian restaurant scene ever since he migrated to the US. He has worked with NJ institutions like Moghul and Urban Spice and others before joining hands with Kabab Culture.
